I shot a my first geelbek coming in at 9.2kilos. While swimming through the midbreak i found a shoal of 20+ geelbek on the sand, average size +- 9-10kgs. There was one or two stand out size fish. I didn’t hesitate to take a shoal size one because they are normally quite skittish. As i shot it the fish took off and peeled about 30or40m off my reel line. After 5 or so minutes i had the fish on my float.
