In the US we don’t *typically* shoot the Silver King (Tarpon are not legal to keep for eating here in *in Fl*, plus they’re very bony and evidently have a strong fishy taste). In other countries however there are subsistence and commercial fisheries for these big fellas. They’re also classified as Vulnerable, but not Endangered.
