Former NFL quarterback Smokin’ Jay Cutler took down a sable antelope on a hunt in South Africa last year and immediately took heat from the misinformed masses who accused him of hunting an endangered animal. The Common Sable is listed as a species of “least concern” by the IUCN. Perhaps they confused it with a Giant Sable, though the habitat for those doesn’t even border the area in which Jay was hunting.
