Folks can start at MyOutdoorAlabama.com, the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources site, or the Outdoor AL app. If you use the app, it needs to be updated to version 2.0.0 or it may not work right.
The big practical point is simple: do not wait until you are standing at the boat ramp or loading dogs before you figure out your account. ADCNR is telling users to claim their profile, update information and get familiar with the system before they need a license in hand.
There is a good access piece here too. The department says the new system should make it easier for customers with disability or military-service documentation to upload paperwork online instead of hauling documents to a probate office.
